The George Lindsey UNA Film Festival will continue its tradition this year of featuring local artists at entertainment events. Chris Roach will perform at FloBama Thursday, March 1, from 4-6, for the Lindsey Film Festival's Kick-Off Party. Roach will be joined by Heath Bain and Melissa Daniel Bain for the party following the 15th Annual Awards Show on Saturday, March 3, 7pm, at UNA's East Campus. Roach and Heath Bain recently had their song "Walk On" featured in the film "Doonby." Hugh and Caleb Banks will perform for guests prior to the Awards Show. The Kick-Off party on March 1 is open to the public. The Awards Show on March 3 is a ticketed event. Tickets may be purchased at The Wine Seller, 324 North Court Street, Florence, or at the Follett UNA Bookstore. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door. The George Lindsey UNA Film Festival is one of the few film festivals hosted by a university. The event was founded in 1998 in part by UNA alumnus and celebrated actor and entertainer George Lindsey. Lindsey's own film career has included several important roles, including the character Goober Pyle on "The Andy Griffith Show."
