FLORENCE, Ala. - The University of North Alabama will begin construction soon on its new black-box theatre, to be built at the south end of Norton Auditorium at the corner of Irvine Avenue and Pine Street. Butler Construction Company will begin mobilizing the site Feb. 21. Completion of the project is expected by February 2012. For a safe and operable work site, a construction zone will be established around the construction area for the duration of the project. In addition, the westbound lane of Irvine Avenue between Court and Pine streets will be closed for the duration of the project. The eastbound lane will remain open. Access to the Norton Auditorium loading dock will be available when necessary. A map of the black-box construction zone at Norton Auditorium is available at 5or7.zo23.com/facilities/construction. Additional information on the project will be posted periodically.About The University of North Alabama
