Delorean Time Machine Replica To Make Four Public Appearances At Film Festival

FLORENCE, Ala. - Guests of the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival next month can go back in time during one of four public appearances made by a faithful working replica of the DeLorean time machine, as seen in "Back to the Future." This year's festival is celebrating the film's 25th anniversary. The time machine will make the following appearances: March 4, 5-7 p.m. - Zodiac TheatreMarch 5, 5-6 p.m. - Shoals TheatreMarch 6, 10-11 a.m. - Zodiac TheatreMarch 6, 6-7 p.m. - UNA Communications Building parking lot The BTTF.com DeLorean time machine was built by husband-and-wife team Oliver and Terry Holler, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. It was carefully built to match the original seen in the "Back to the Future" trilogy, featuring the famous flux capacitor and functional circuit displays. The George Lindsey UNA Film Festival is partnering with BTTF.com and the Hollers this year to raise donations for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The George Lindsey UNA Film Festival is one of the few film festivals hosted by a university. The event was founded in 1998 in part by UNA alumnus and celebrated actor and entertainer George Lindsey. Lindsey's own film career has included several important roles, including the character Goober Pyle on "The Andy Griffith Show."
