FLORENCE, AL - For the fifth year, enrollment in the Master of Business Administration program in the College of Business at the University of North Alabama is the highest among all universities in the state of Alabama. According to data released by the Birmingham Business Journal that details enrollment statistics in Alabama, UNA's program continues to place first on the list with 1,075 enrolled for 2020, up 27 percent from 2019.
"The College of Business at UNA is deeply committed to providing high-quality education with an emphasis on the student experience," said Dr. Wes Davenport, Director of Graduate Programs at UNA. "I believe the continued growth of the MBA program, year after year, reflects that commitment. A lot of programs talk about being student-centered, but, at UNA, we live it."
The enrollment data places UNA's MBA program ahead of enrollment at all of the other MBA programs throughout the state, including Auburn University, which placed second with 707 enrolled, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, with 575 enrolled.
"We are very pleased to receive this designation for the fifth consecutive year," said Dr. Ross Alexander, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. "Like other colleges and universities, the University of North Alabama was impacted by the pandemic, but unlike those institutions, UNA has experienced record enrollment. The persistent increase in the growth of our innovative MBA program exemplifies UNA's commitment to providing high-quality education at a competitive price."
The Birmingham Business Journal is a Birmingham-based publication that focuses on business news throughout the state of Alabama.
